New Study Shows Increased Urban Canopy Reduces Premature Deaths

 A recent study by the U.S. Forest Service that assessed projected changes in Philadelphia's tree canopy from 2014 to 2025 found that increased tree canopy reduces mortality, and that even expanding canopy and urban greening efforts at modest levels are "health-promoting and cost-saving measures."
